Service Description

Menopause symptoms may begin for women as early as their late thirties in some. This significant event in a woman’s life can be the most rewarding and creative time, however, often misunderstood, it can also bring upon distress and discomfort for some. Join Montessori Educator and Health Advocate, Fran Sorrenti to travel and conquer this journey together in Yoga for Menopause, with a focus on bringing health and well being to our bodies, minds, and emotions. According to Yogic philosophy, the human being is composed of several layers or “koshas”. There are five unique Koshas, each representing significant aspects of ourselves. Attention will be given to the changes that occur in us during menopause as they relate to these Koshas. In addition to nutrition, mindful activities such as journal writing, in conjunction with traditional practices such as yoga and meditation, can all assist in bringing balance to us through a more holistic approach to healing menopause symptoms. Together we can help ensure a better quality of life for ourselves, and those loved ones around us. Through learning together and sharing our hearts and minds, we can make a difference.
